notMetaphor Poetry amber moon

amber moon

I followed you,

oh, amber moon,

across the waning sky.

You promised me

fertile dreams

in which my seed

now lies.

Oh, amber moon

I followed you

entwined our fates now lay.

I promise you

resolve that's true

as long as you

light my way.

Oh, amber moon

it is no lie

your brilliance

makes me shine.

In your light

I find respite;

tranquility of mind.
